30 Days In! Well, almost...

So I have concluded that it is time for me to take down the Duby-weave. Not because I don't like how it looks, don't get me wrong, I love it and so it seems the same for everyone I know. Only because I am soooo not used to, not being able to get to my scalp...I mean REALLY get to it. I washed my scalp and the weave about a week ago, but I wasn't satisfied with the washing and I somewhat fear my hair becoming immensely tangled, the more I wet the braids underneath. I'm not sure if I am a "sew-in" person. I would rather so the hair onto a wig cap and wear the weave as a wig for a month. At least that way I can take my cornrows down and wash and moisturize and condition as good as I always do. I know I've got about a week left, but I figure I should at least let my hair and scalp breathe before the next style anyway. I did enjoy the care free maintenance aspect of the hair style . All I really did was wrap it and moisture my braids and scalp at night, and then comb it down in the morning. I gave up the bumping and curling every morning somewhere in the second week! It was cute but too much for me to do in the AM along with getting myself and my son ready for the day! So without further adieu I will be taking down the sew-in tonight and doing a DC (deep conditioning) and PT(Protein Treatment), so that I can run my fingers back through my nappy curly tresses that I've been missing so much! I am definitely one for playing in my hair, so to keep my hair locked a way so long obviously drives me nutz! Stay tuned for more on my 90-day hair challenge! Until next time.....
